【SSB4】Doctor's Lab: Dair Combo (%'s In Description)

Sadly, I don't see this Dr. Mario combo ever. I hope people add this to their arsenal because of its high damage potential to consider when they're in the correct situation

Note: This combo only works on fastfallers with a few exceptions. It is also DI dependent.

Percentages for every character:

Little Mac: 21% to 42%

Sheik: 12 to 32%

Zero Suit Samus: 11% to 22%

Marth: 22 to 32%

Meta Knight: 11% to 25%

Fox: 11 to 29%

Falco: 21 to 34%

Pikachu: ? I can get up air instead of up b and down b in later percents, but not up b for some reason

Captain Falcon: 46% to 52%

Lucina: 23 to 33%

Roy: 33 to 41%

Bayonetta: 21% to 44%. Also combos with up throw from 5% to 21%

If the opponent is out of the percent ranges I'm about to list, but still are at a high percent, go for the down air. Since the only way to escape this combo outside of the percent ranges is to airdodge (Jump is too slow), you can do the optimal autocancel for the move, thus punishing the air dodge with an immediate attack (like f-smash or up-smash). This scenario can also work with Doc's down throw to fair combo, since fair's autocancel window is nearly the same as dair's.

【SSB4】Doctor's Lab: Auto-Cancel Guide (Subtitles Eng. and Esp.)

In this video, I define and go in depth about auto-cancels, and I tell the timings of them for every one of doc's aerials

So... You're probably wondering, "Why is this important?"

Auto-cancelling is a key fundamental and is important in his neutral, typically in conjunction with short hop Back Aerials to space. Most people use this move in the neutral because:

1. The decently sized hitbox

2. The quick startup

3. The move has a very practical auto-cancel window (Since it can be immediately fast-falled in a short hop)

4. It's absurd damage and knockback which makes opponents sure to respect it

5. You can RAR (Reverse Aerial Rush) effectively. If you don't know what a RAR is, it's when you turn around while running, hold forward again while pressing jump promptly, then input a back air (I recommend fast-falling right after), effectively transferring momentum to the air. Click here for an example of RAR in 1/4 speed (This is with brawl Mario because I don't have Smash 4 with me at the moment. Brawl and Smash 4 RAR-ing are the exact same, so this is still accurate).

6. When the opponent does respect it (usually by the means of shielding), you can fast-fall multiple Back Airs as shield pressure due to having enough shieldstun. This will force the opponent to react which you are able to punish or remember that reaction to get an idea of how they act when pressured in general.

【SSB4】Doctor's Lab: Fresh Move Bonus (Subtitles Eng. and Esp.)

When looking over the effects of stale moves, I saw a bonus for non-staled moves for every character, especially for Dr. Mario. Today, I talk about the differences between Dr. Mario and Mario when it comes to the added fresh move bonus.
